Miphen Privacy Policy

Version 1.2 · Effective October 13, 2026

This policy explains what Miphen, Inc. ("Miphen," "we," "us") collects when you use miphen.com (including miphen.com/start) and Miph, our AI companion that talks with you by text and phone call, and what we do with it.

The short version

  • Miph is an AI. What you tell it is stored so Miph can remember your context and notice patterns over time.
  • We use your birth details to calculate your birth chart using traditional birth-chart systems.
  • We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
  • We may use de-identified information, which can't be linked to you, for research and to build AI.
  • We never share your phone number or text consent with anyone for their marketing.
  • You can see, correct and delete your data, turn off model training, and stop texts and calls at any time.

2. Sensitive information

People often tell Miph about their health, mental health, sex life, sexual orientation, religious or spiritual beliefs, and family conflict. California law treats this as sensitive personal information. We use it to provide Miph to you, keep the service safe and secure, comply with the law, and, unless you turn it off, to train and improve our AI as described in section 3. We never use it for advertising, and we never sell or share it. You can limit our use of your sensitive information to what's needed to provide Miph by turning off "Use my conversations to train and improve our AI" in settings, or by emailing privacy@miphen.com.

3. How we use it

  • Run Miph: reply to you, call you when you've asked, remember what you've told Miph, and show your history and insights in the web app.
  • Calculate your birth chart using traditional birth-chart systems, as a starting point Miph refines from your own experiences.
  • Detect patterns and personalize: notice recurring patterns in what you share so Miph can talk with you more usefully.
  • Reach out the way you chose: check-ins and reminders, respecting your settings, quiet hours and time zone.
  • Keep you safe: detect signs of crisis, share crisis resources, and keep the records California's companion chatbot law (SB 243) requires. Reports we file contain no personal identifiers.
  • Improve and build our AI: review and evaluate conversations, improve prompts, and train and improve AI models that power Miph and other current or future products of Miphen or any company that later owns Miphen. We remove names and phone numbers before training where we can. We don't sell or license your identifiable conversations to other companies for their own use. You can turn this off in settings at any time. Turning it off stops future use and removes your conversations from datasets we haven't used yet; it doesn't change models already trained.
  • Protect accounts: verify your number, confirm it's you before Miph discusses your history, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Keep records and follow the law: consent records, opt-outs, billing and legal requests.
  • Contact you about your account, including changes to these policies.

4. AI processing

Miph's replies are generated by AI models from our providers. To reply, we send the relevant part of your conversation and stored context to Anthropic, our AI model provider. Under our commercial terms Anthropic does not train its models on that data, and keeps it for up to 30 days for safety and abuse monitoring before deleting it. On calls, Twilio connects the call, and ElevenLabs turns call audio into text and generates Miph's voice. Miph can be wrong; its insights are interpretations, not facts.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we haven't done so in the past 12 months. We disclose it only:

  • To service providers that process it for us under contracts limiting their use (listed in section 6).
  • When you direct us, for example when you connect with another Miphen user by QR code. Only what the connection shows is shared.
  • For legal reasons, when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect someone's life or safety.
  • In a business transfer, if Miphen is merged, acquired or sells its assets, your information may transfer to the new owner, who may continue to use it as this policy describes, including to train and improve AI.

Text messaging: We do not sell or share your mobile number, SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your consent to texts applies only to Miphen. We share your number only with providers that deliver our texts and calls, such as Twilio.

De-identified information. We may create de-identified or aggregated information from what you and others share, meaning it can't reasonably be linked to you or to anyone you've told Miph about. We keep it in that form, we don't try to re-identify it, and we require anyone who receives it to do the same by contract. We may use and share de-identified information for any purpose, including research and building AI models and products.

10. Your privacy rights

California residents have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don't sell or share), to limit use of sensitive information (see section 2), and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We give these same rights to all U.S. users.

To make a request, use your settings at miphen.com or email privacy@miphen.com. We'll confirm it's you by sending a code to your phone number. You can use an authorized agent; we'll ask for proof of their authority and may confirm with you directly. We'll respond within 45 days.

California's "Shine the Light" law: we don't share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing.

11. Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. Our analytics count visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites. We don't use advertising pixels or record your screen. Because we don't track you across sites, we treat browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals as already honored.

12. Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest and limit access to it. Miphen staff and contractors can read conversations only for safety review, support you asked for, or fixing problems, and every access is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

13. Age

Miphen is for adults 18 and older. If we learn someone under 18 has an account, we close it and delete their data.

14. Where we operate

Miphen is available only in the United States and stores data in the United States.

15. Changes

We'll post any new version here with a new effective date. For important changes, we'll tell you by text or in the web app before they take effect, and we'll ask for your consent before using information already collected in a new way.
